Logan Patrick McNeff was born Sunday, January 27th at 12:56 pm. He weighs 7 lbs 11 oz, and is 19.5 inches long.
We got to the hospital at 8:00 am, I had my water broken and pitocin started by 9:30 am, and by when the dose was upped once, my contractions jumped to 2 minutes apart. I was concerned it might be too early to ask for an epidural because I thought I'd have to be laboring for a few hours before we reached that part. So we asked the nurse, and she agreed it was time to get that medicine in me! The first couple doses were too small because I was moving so fast the drugs couldn't catch up. So the anesthesiologist said he'd give me the oober dose that would completely numb me. Good thing he did, because about 20 minutes later when the doctor checked me, he announced it was time to push, and I had just started to not feel the horrible contractions! Surprise! 20 minutes of pushing later, little Logan took his first few breaths, let us know he was not happy, and life has been wonderful since! The hospital had a huge influx of births from the storm Friday night, so we had to wait a few hours to get into a room (which was just fine, because it took me that long to even start to move one of my legs a little bit. They still ended up having to roll me onto a gurney to get me there lol).
We've both been recovering really well! I didn't tear or anything this time, so it has made recovery a lot nicer. I just have really sore back/ab muscles from pushing so hard (I think I overcompensated for the numbness because I couldn't feel anything and didn't know if I was doing enough), and my hips still need to stop hurting and go back to "normal" but other than that we are great! I just have to remind myself to not overdo it lol.
Here are some pictures from the hospital.

Daddy decided to snuggle with Logan at bedtime. He tucked him in against the arm rest, and they fell asleep for a few hours together until Logan decided he was ready to eat again. Josh adores his little boys, and can't get enough of them. He still tries to sneak Quinn into bed with us.
Getting dressed to go home, just over 24 hours after birth :)
In his car seat, ready to go home! We love having him here, and even though Quinn can't stay quiet constantly, Logan sleeps right through most of it. He fits perfectly into our little family :)
